Free Desktop Backgrounds

Below are some desktop backgrounds that are free to use. The desktop backgrounds are made from photos of abstract paintings published here at Energy Art Gallery, see the abstract art gallery. The desktop backgrounds are in the size 1280x1024 pixels, but when you choose one of the images as a background on your desktop the size of the background image will resize and fit automatically. For choosing one image as a background you can do like this (for Windows XP):

Instruktions for downloading and changing your computers desktop background
1. Right click on one of the images below and choose "Save link as" and you will save the image file to your computer.
2. Then you right click on your desktop on your computer and choose "Properties"
3. Then choose "Desktop" and browse for the jpg image file that you have downloaded and then you have your new image for the desktop bakckground.
