Saturday, June 30, 2007 We slept in an old house 10 kilometers North of Örebro. We visited Helena, a friend to Anne-Li, and her family with the small Albin. They have many apple trees in their small garden and a hammock. We met a lot of lovely and strange people. Photo: Edith is selling ice cream made of tree.
Friday, June 29, 2007 Again a visit to Astrid Lindgren's World. First we went to Villekulla and Pippi Longstocking. Edith climbed around in the house before the show. When Pippi came and were going to start the show, Edith was still in the house and didn´t want to leave the house. She stayed on the balcony, and kept the door closed with her back for Pippi, all the audience laughed. After Pippi we saw the big show with all characters. At last we saw Emil and ate red currants from the bushes. Then we left Vimmerby and travelled to Örebro. Photo: Vases from a pottery in Vimmerby on our small art vacation.
Thursday, June 28, 2007 We visited Astrid Lindgrens childhood home and also to Bullerbyn on our art vacation. Ate ice cream. Edith gave grass to the rabbits. We jumped in the haystack. I took a sauna again in the evening and talked with two Dutchmen that were travelling through Sweden and to Norway. Jumped in the lake, not much because of a cold. It's wonderful swimming in small lakes if it is not to cold. Photo: Vigdis and Edith in Bullerbyn.
Wednesday, June 27, 2007 We went up about 6.00 and packed the car and travelled to Vimmerby. We went to Astrid Lindgren's world. Run around in the small town. Sat on a outside on cafe when it was raining a lot. We were lucky. Emil and Alfred came and played songs at our table. Edith was very shy for Emil, but she liked it. They played "Bom-Sicka-Bom". Tuesday, June 26, 2007 Whole family visited the Castle of Görveln in Järfälla. We run around and ate ice cream. Photo: View from the Castle. The lake Mälaren is behind the trees.
Monday, June 25, 2007 Today no work. I have one week of vacation. We went to the small childrens pool. Rested there. Edith played some in the water. I went to the hair dresser and got a cut at last. Photo: Vigdis climbing some big steps.
Sunday, June 24, 2007 It is midnight and it's too late for me. I will be tired tomorrow. The children will wake up early. Photo: Edith early sleep on the living room floor.
Saturday, June 23, 2007 I mostly slept on on the floor because Vigdis didn´t sleep well and her bed is to small for me, I then slept close to her on the floor, it was ok. Car back home to the city. Raining all day. Photo: The summer house at Singö.
Friday, June 22, 2007 We went by car to Singö at the sea coast, 2 hours North of Stockholm, and celebrated Midsummer. Weather was rainy in Stockolm, but it was sun in Singö. It was a crazy car jam going from Stockholm to the sea. It is always like this, all people leave the city and travel to the sea for celebrating Midsummer. We ate good food in the garden at our friends brothers summer house. After late lunch we went down to the sea and met the sheeps. Then back to the house and more food.
